Your numbers never leave your computer.
Your customers, invoices, expenses and receipts are stored encrypted on your computer, not on a server. You can save a backup with your own password; if you lose the computer without a backup, the data cannot be recovered.
Pilot only receives your name and email when you register. If you use the assistant, the app sends your Claude or ChatGPT what it needs from your numbers, using your own account. Connecting your Pilot account is optional, and you can disconnect it whenever you like.
Your numbers are never stored on Pilot servers.

What is Pilot Money?
It is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that keeps your business accounts: invoices, payments, expenses, banks, reports and taxes. You don’t need to know accounting: you record what you sell, collect and spend, and the rest builds itself.
How much does it cost?
The app is free. Start with your business today; your personal finances have a place too.
Where is my data kept?
Your clients, invoices, expenses and receipts are stored encrypted on your computer, not on a server. You can save a copy with your own password; if you lose the computer without a copy, the data cannot be recovered. Only your name and email reach Pilot, when you sign up.
Does it issue electronic invoices?
In Costa Rica, Pilot Money issues your electronic invoice directly to Hacienda (the tax authority) from your computer. You file the tax return yourself.
Do I need artificial intelligence?
No. The assistant is optional and read-only: it answers with your own Claude or ChatGPT. Without AI, everything else works the same.
